- American-Albertan. Mrs. Amanda Nilsson, around whom part of the manuscript resolves, was a pioneer in southern Alberta. She helped found the town of Raymond, and delivered the first baby born in the community. Iris Mossey is a granddaughter of Amanda Nilsson.
