A handwritten poem on black photograph album paper accompanies the photographs. The poet is unidentified, and the poem is entitled "Solace". Other photographs feature the Lethbridge Cenotaph in Galt Gardens, a parade, a ceremony at the airport, couples, and a photograph of the construction crew at the Vancouver Ellison Grain Elevator, August, 1939.
