The complete text: Mortgage Sale of Valuable Coal Lands Under and by virtue of the Powers of Sale of the "Territories Real Estate Act," And of a certain Mortgage which will be produced at time of Sale, there will be offered for Sale by PUBLIC AUCTION at the office of Robert McCutcheon, Auctioneer, at Medicine Hat, in the Northwest Territories of Canada on Saturday, 9th of June, 1894 .... at 2 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON .... All and singular those certain pieces or parcels of land situate in the district of Assiniboia, in the Northwest Territories, and being the West Half of Section Number Thirty-Two, in Township Number Twelve, in the Range Number Six, and all that portion of the South Half of Section Number Six, which lies to the South and West of the Saskatchewan River, in Township Number Thirteen, in Range Number Six, all West of Fourth Meridian, and containing Five Hundred and Fifty Three Acres, more or less. The above property is known as the Medicine Hat Coal Mining Property and is situate about Six Miles West of the Main Line of the Canadian Pacific Railway at Medicine Hat. A number of seams of good Lignite Coal are said to run through the property. A shaft, which is said to be in good repair, has been sunk to a depth of about 200 feet and a quantity of coal taken out.
