Scope and Content
An Interior view into Mr. and Mrs. David Owen's basment. Shown are both Mr. and Mrs. David Owen sitting on chairs made from old metal tractor seats. The table is made from the cast iron base of a New Ideal manufactured treadle sewing machine The Owen house is filled with interesting objects which they have either made themselves or refurbished. Located in the basement, the Yak Yak room contains many articles which are definitely conversation pieces. Mrs. Owen believed in making use of routine household items which normally are thrown away. Egg cartons are fashioned into lamp shades, candle holders are made out of a variety of bottles and a fragile “beaded” curtain is uncooked macaroni strung together.
