History Biographical
These two cabins were owned by Scottish-born couple George R. Senior (1884-1952) and Betsy Annand (1884-1957) who lived in Waterton Lakes National Park. The cabins were located on the Entrance Road across from Middle Waterton Lake. At left is Lochvue, built by others in 1921 and purchased by the Annands who renovated the building in the 1940s for use as the couple's year-round residence. It had four individual rented rooms with a shared bathroom. At right is Vimyvue, built and completed in 1945, as a seasonal rental duplex with two fully equipped housekeeping premises to served the summer tourist trade. George R. Annand Senior, also known as "Joe", was the government storekeeper at park kheadquarters which was located above and behind Lochvue. He retired in August, 1951 after 23 years of service.
