- Scope and Content
- Sicks Lethbridge Brewery took its 9,000 gallon solid copper brewing kettle out of service in December, 1972 because the scrubbing and cleaning during its 63 years of continuous use had worn the metal thin in spots. The dome of the 17-foot tall, pear-shaped vessel was put in the yard as a conservation piece. It was replaced by a kettle made of stainless steel, a more durable and easy to clean metal.
