- History Biographical
- The garbage truck was the first motorized heavy vehicle, other than fire trucks, purchased by the municipality. The donor, Mr Womack, helped hand-hammer the truck's steel cargo box. He also modified the vehicle by removingthe engine's governor which limited the motor's power output, and installed an operator-controlled throttle in the cab, so the driver could extricate the truck from the sometimes muddy back lanes of Lethbridge.
