- An all-star team was selected at the conclusion of the first annual President’s Invitational basketball tournament hosted by Lethbridge Community College. Named to the team were, front row, left to right, Jim Clark, and John Boardman of the championship Blue Mountain Timber Wolves of Pendleton, Oregon. Clark was also the most valuable player of the tournament. Back row, left to right, was Ron Olynyk of Calgary Mount Royal Cougars and Curt Wolsey of the host LCC Kodiaks. Not shown were Rudy Siemans of Langley, B.C. and Skip Hardin of Great Falls, MT.
