- Stan Oczkawski of Calgary addresses the local branch of the Polish Combatants Association of Canada during observation of the 25th anniversary of the arrival of Polish veterans in Canada and incorporation of the association. Mr. Oczkawski, a captain in the former Polish army, was seriously wounded twice in the war and was the bearer of one of the highest decorations of the Polish army. The 150 persons at the observance was Mayor Andy Anderson decorated with a Polish cross which was borne on a pillow carried by five-year-old Angela Savage.
