- The 4-H Horse Show which was held on a Sunday, included a noon-hour church service, the idea of the South Regional Appaloosa Club. Jack Kraemer of Fort Macleod presided at the service. Members of the congregation in costume were contestants in the Indian costume class competitions held immediately after the service. A total of 78 horses entered the show, most of them from Alberta and British Columbia and one entry from Thunder Bay, Ontario. The show was held at the Hilltoppers Gymkhana Club near Lethbridge.
