- The Photograph was collected by Alex Johnston to use in "Lethbridge: Its Coal Industry" By Johnston, Gladwyn and Ellis. 1989. The Miner's Cairn was a joint project of The Lethbridge Historical Society and Lethbridge Miners' Library, to place a permanent marker to commemorate the start of the Coal Industry in Lethbridge and to honour the Coal Pioneers.
