- Scope and Content
- Members of International Union of Operating Engineers picket the main access road to the University of Lethbridge site. The pickets were province wide at construction sites. The U of L project was the only Lethbridge site affected by the strike. Only two men were directly involved in the Lethbridge strike but other unions on the job site refused to cross the picket line thus halting work at the university. From left, W. Woodside, Orost Walicki and F. Takacs operating engineers from the Shell refinery near Pincher Creek.
