- Ferdinand, a 1,220 pound Holstein steer, attended the Rotary Club luncheon at the Marquis Hotel navigating the steps both up and down with no hesitation with no hesitation and except for knocking over some china, behaved perfectly while at the luncheon. He was shuttled between orphanages since the previous September when the East Lethbridge club purchased him at 470 pounds, fed him for a while, then he was sold to one club after another. Chris Dahl, president of the Raymond club turned him over to Dick Williams, president of the Lethbridge club.
