- Post office clock being cleaned of pigeon droppings by a two-man crew from Inter-Provincial Pest Control Ltd. of Calgary. The area was also sprayed with a chemical to deter the clock's feathered friends from igniting. This was the first time the operation had been tried in Lethbridge.
