History Biographical
Nick Bolokoski was born in Hardieville October, 6, 1918 and educated there. He joined the Canadian Forces in Calgary 1940. He was with the First Kings Own Rifles in Moose Jaw and Terrace, British Columbia before being posted overseas. There he was stationed with the South Saskatchewan Regiment before tranferring to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. He landed in France shortly after and saw action in Caen, Falaise, Turin and Calais. He was killed in action September 27, 1944. His cousin Steve Bolokoski was killed in France, in July of that year.
