- Lethbridge School District No. 51 is the public school board in Lethbridge. Since 1886, Lethbridge School District No. 51 has offered high quality learning experiences over a broad range of programs to meet the needs of a wide variety of learners. The District educates over 11,000 students within the City of Lethbridge and employs nearly 1,200 staff members. Lethbridge School District No. 51 takes pride in the breadth of its programs, the expertise of its staff, and the quality of its facilities in 22 schools, and a number of outreach facilities throughout the city. Our schools have a grade structure comprised of Kindergarten to Grade 5 students in elementary schools, Grade 6 to Grade 8 students in middle schools and Grade 9 to Grade 12 students in high schools [Source: Lethbridge School District No. 51 website]

- Portrait of John Harry Fleetwood that was reproduced from a printed publication. He was elected to the Board in 1901. He served as the Chairman from 1906 to 1911. During his term in 1911 he conceived the idea of a manual training school for Lethbridge. He initiated the formation of a province wide trustees' association. Served as Secretary-Treasurer from 1912 till his death in 1936. In 1910, the trustees named the three storey brick and stone school in the Duff Addition after him. When Fleetwood School was demolished, a combination name was given to the new school that housed the staff and students of three schools: Fleetwood, Central, and Susie Bawden. The name then became Fleetwood-Bawden School in honor of two members of the Board. this picture was presented to the School Board on February 26th, 1985 by A. Swedish.
