- Adrian Huvenaars and his wife of Hays, Alberta, accept the grand champion trophy for the best carcass at the First Annual Lethbridge Spring Wine Sale and Show from Bill Olafson, manager of southern Feeds Ltd. Wallace Orr of Fort Macleod took first place for the group of three carcasses. Mr. Huvenaars’ carcass, a 164 pound Yorkshire, sold for $85. The average sale price of the carcasses was $27.47 per hundred weight.
