- John Sylvester McMahon of Lethbridge received minor undetermined injuries when his car was in collision with a CP Rail freight train at the crossing on Highway 4, two miles east of the Green Acres Drive-in Theatre. The mishaps occurred about 9:30 a.m. The car, a late model station, apparently collided with the front unit of the train. Damage to the car was estimated at $2,000; damage to the train at $50. Mr. Mahon was the manager of Service Master, a carpet and upholstery cleaning company in the city.
