- Scope and Content
- Fire literally burned up the pavement in an Alberta highways department asphalt truck at 4th Avenue and 5th Street North. A propane heating device apparently set fire to oil in the unattended truck. By the time firemen arrived about 11:15 a.m. the truck was enveloped in flames. A fine spray of water under extreme pressure was used to extinguish the flames. A mixture of asphalt and water provided a mucky footing for fireman. No estimate of damage was available.
