- History Biographical
- Thomas Rattray was wounded at Passchendaele on 11 November 1917 and remained in a muddy trench until the next morning. The officer leading Rattray's unit was killed moments after he put a tourniquet on Rattray's leg. After nine months in an English hospital Rattray was returned to Canada.
