The building was constructed in 1918 as a Court House. The town bought the building in 1953 for $8,000. c 1953 40.Front of the Taber War Memorial Swimming Pool built in 1948. 41.The pool itself taken from the diving platform. 42. The Taber Gas Tractor, invented by Mr Russell of Minneapolis. The inventor was a friend of Taber businessman Charles B. Hall and came to Taber to put his idea of a tractor with an increased power ratio before the Board of Trade. The result was a company capitalized at $63.00 per share. Mr. Russell built an experimental tractor in Minneapolis and shipped it to Taber. A power test was done using eight wagons loaded with 1,000 bushels of wheat. The result of the test is unknown but no actural field trails were ever held. c1912. 43.Committee of the Lions Club that hauled the Taber Gas Tractor to the dump.
