Hallworth's winning entry was the "Reward" variety of hard red spring wheat. 1953 34.First two Imperial Oil tank cars shipped from Taber, filled with oil from Plains Pete No 2 well Autumn 1937. 35.Plains Pete No 2 Storage tanks, The well hit oil October 14, 1937 at a depth of 3,219 feet, and eventually produced about 40,000 barrels of 23 gravity oil. 36.Cole-Hunter Well. The well was spudded in September 23, 1929. The well did hit oil, but an accident involving tools and the deposit of drilling mud for a period of several weeks sealted the well off permanently. 37.
