- Lethbridge Public School Board trustees decided to buy $25,500 worth of educational television equipment early in 1971 on the recommendation of Dr. Gerry Probe, directors of personnel and material resources instead of leasing it from Alberta Government telephones or another leasing company. The result was to be a complete ETV package with television camera, videotape recorder and television set or sets in each public school in the city including the Dorothy Gooder School for Retarded Children.
