Scope and Content
The former RCAF recreation hall built about 1940 at Kenyon Field for air recreation use being dismantled. The building was sold by the federal government first to National Salvage in Lethbridge and then was resold for $1,300 to Robert Brandley of Raymond who planned to reuse the material for several construction projects. It was expected to be completely torn down by the end of the year. Air cadets in previous years used the building for their activities but then moved to the Kenyon Field Armories. The building was deemed surplus and was not replaced.
