- Scope and Content
- Official sod turning at the expansion of the tourist information hut operated by the Travel and Convention Association of Southern Alberta near the Sicks’ Lethbridge Brewery garden. C.W. Chichester, president of the association and chairman of the board of directors, did the honors with a teaspoon while manager Frank Smith tried to thaw the ground with a match. The $4,000 expansion added a 12-foot extension to the 20 by 16 foot hut, a front porch and a cistern water system for use in winter. Space was needed for storage and to accommodate an additional staff member.
