- Mrs. Isabella Haworth of 961 12th Street South, Lethbridge, who lost a son in World War Two. Mrs. Haworth was chosed at Lethbridge’s Bereaved Mother for the 1970 Remembrance Day ceremonies to be held at the Cenotaph. Her son, Lance Corporal D. L. Minion enlisted in Calgary in July 1941 at the age of 17 and was sent overseas that winter. He was killed Noc. 2, 1944 at Bergen op Zoom, Holland at the age of 20. He served with the 5th Anti-tank regiment of the 4th Division.
