- Custodial History
- These memorabilia are donated by members of the Crabb family. Richard Crabb, photographer, born in England and immigrated to Ontario. There he apprenticed as a photographer. Went to the West Indies on assignment for a couple years and upon his return worked for Steele & Co. photographing western Canada. Built a photography studio on 3rd Ave South, just east of 7th Street. Business was very slow during WW1 so the father took a position in the accounting department of the City of Lethbridge where he remained until his death in 1922 at the age of 55. Bert Crabb, son of Richard, was employed in the automotive trade in Lethbridge. Worked for D.S. Williamson and Imperial Motors.
