History Biographical: Compiled by Inspector I.C. Shank. Isreal Shank was born in Athabasca in 1911, the eldest of 15 children born to Eddie Jedeon Shank and Rosana Goulet. He attended the Olds School of Agriculture from 1928-1930 and worked at the Dominion Experimental Sub-station, Beaverlodge. He joined the RCMP in 1934 and retired in 1969 as a Chief-Superintendent. Mr. Shank died in 2006.
