- Photographs of George Watson, left and Alf Hubbard at the Fort Whoop-Up Historic Site. Watson was the curator of the Galt Museum who arranged for a trip to the location at the junction of the St. Mary and Oldman Rivers. While the actual fort was gone, its outline lingered and a large stone cairn stood on the spot having been erected in 1949 (?) the the Lethbridge Jaycees. Alf Hubbard was owner of the property on which the fort stood when the trip was taken.
