- History Biographical
- The Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra was formed in the fall of 1960 under conductor Albert Rodnunsky. At the first rehearsal there were 17 musicians and by the end of the following week the numbers grew to 34. Within 4 months the total was 70. An executive was formed to support the orchestra and the Symphony Women's League was established in 1961. Their purpose was to showcase classical music to the public and to engage in musical theatre productions. A Junior Symphony was formed soon after to provide a training ground for young musicians. Fifty-five years and several conductors later, the orchestra continues to present concerts today and have widened their variety of repetoire. Museus the Symphony's chamber group began in 1974.
