History Biographical
Arthur "Pop" Harwood came to Waterton Lakes National Park circa 1914 where he was employed in a variety of jobs before becoming the postmaster, a position he held until the 1950s. He had one son, Stephen, who was an avid photographer and outdoorsman who became a mechanic with the park, married and raised one son, Marvin. See fond description for more detail.

View of three women posing along the new Akamina Highway in November 1925. The woman on the left is Tilly Miller; middle is Mable Dilatush, wife of Nahor Dilatush and at right is "Granny". These women took part in a public hike from the townsite to Oil City involving some 20 people. They left at 9:30 a.m. and arrived at Oil City about 1 p.m. where they had an open-air lunch.
