- Photographs of the new Centre Village Shopping Centre expected to be opened in early October, 1970 according to a representative of Marathon Realty Co. All the work in the mall area was on schedule in July, 1970 when these photographs were taken. The floor and lighting fixtures for the Simpsons-Sears store were finished and work was going ahead on other fixtures and racks. The project was under the general supervision of M. J. Filed, general manager of Marathon’s prairie division.
