- The following is taken from the Lethbridge Herald of 28 July 1928. "When Louis W. Hill, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Great Northern Railway visited Lethbridge Thursday of this week on a shopping expedition to buy furnishings for his fine new cottage at Waterton Lakes National Park, he spent considerable time at Headquarters, "K" Division, RCMP in company with Superintendent Junget. Mr. Hill is a great admirer of the "Scarlet Riders". In the ... picture he is shown standing on the left with Supt. Junget. on the right is Miss Ballard, a New York painter, now painting Indian scenes at Browning, who came to Lethbridge with Mr. Hill's party to get "Mountie" atmosphere. She is an accomplished rider, and was keenly delighted at the opportunity to ride one of the horses of the famous force. A contingent of Mounties occupies the big red car of the Glacier Park Transportation Company which brought Mr. Hill to the city ..."
