- Portrait of Thomas Macpherson. He came to Coalbanks where he was an engineer on the "Alberta" the riverboat used to transprt coal for the Northwest Coal & Navigation Company. He became and train engineer in 1885 until 1890 when the MacPhersons moved to the United States.
