- Portrait of Elias A. Adams who was born on May 4th 1868 in Ontario. When he came to Lethbridge in 1900 he ran a lumber business for many years. That year he married Miss Lucy Walker. He was involved in the town politics by serving on the town council from 1906 to 1912, and also as mayor. After his lumber business he began to sell cars for Buick. He pioneered the car industry here and was one of the first citizens to drive one. Today the Adams Park and Adams Ice Arena are named after him.
