- Portrait of William Duncan Livingstone Hardie who was born on August 17th 1862 in Scotland and immigrated with his parents to the United States in 1872. He married Margaret Jane in 1885. He came to Lethbridge under recommendation of Sir Alexander Galt in 1889 to work as an assistant superintendent in the coal mines. He served as mayor for 16 years starting on January 1 1913. He died in June 1942.
