- Portrait of Mrs. Lettice Perry was born in 1848 in England. She immigrated first to Pennsylvania in 1880 where she met her husband James Perry. She came to Lethbridge in 1885 with her 6 children and lived in a dugout in the side of the coulee. Luckily the coalminers built her a small home that was the first one in Lethbridge. In total she had 14 children however only 7 grew to be adults. She died in 1939.
