- Portrait of Clarence Lowther who was born in Nova Scotia and came to Lethbridge in 1885. He worked for the NorthWest Coal and Navigation Company as a blacksmith. He soon opend up his own blacksmith shop and later worked for William Oliver on 5th Street. He eventually went into carpentry and real estate.Taking an interest in public affairs he contributed articles on the pioneer years to the Herald. His name is spelled with a "u" on the portriat matte.
