- Portrait of Mr.Peter (Pat) Michael Egan known as Pat all his life, was born in Nova Scotia. He came west in 1896 and worked with the North West Mounted Police.He was transferred to Lethbridge as a sergeant leaving the NWMP for the city police in 1907and worked as a detective until 1912. He was also a guard at the Provincial Gaol for a time. During World War Iunable to go overseas, he was a provost sergeant at Sarcee Camp for a year before joining the Alberta Provincial Police. Finally in 1918 he rejoined the Lethbridge City Police as a detective and retired on August 15th 1941. He was a part of the Oldtimers Association, Sourdoughs’ Association and the North West Mounted Police Veterans’ Association.
