- Portrait of Mr Charles Van Horne. He came to Lethbridge in April 1897 from Ontario. He partnered with William McAdoo and ran a buisness involving cartage, house moving, ice and coal. However he is most remembered for delivering barrels of water to households before a system was built in 1905. The company also had a horse ranch and Van Horne became a very good horseman. He spent more than 50 years as a businessman in Lethbridge and died in 1957.
