Scope and Content: Photographs of unidentified members from the Lethbridge Ukrainian Greek-Orthodox Church 13th St. north giving a traditional greeting to Archbishop Andrew of Edmonton on Sunday June 14th. He is head of the Church in Edmonton and ranking Orthodox dignitary in Alberta and British Columbia. His assistants were Reverend Loren Kubin of Lethbridge and Mike Sciwchenko of Edmonton. It was also the celebration of “Green Holiday” to invoke God’s blessing on the fertility of the soil. For the celebration the members met Archbishop Andrew outside and threw flower petals in his path. In return Archbishop Andrew blessed a specially prepared loaf of bread and a cone of salt. An extended mass was held to which members wore their green vestments.
