- The acting mayor of Lethbridge, C.B.Bowman, issued a proclamation that all businesses in the city should be closed during the funeral which was held Dec. 16, 1909.The procession, which was over a mile long comprised representation of every institution in the city as well as a number of visitors from other cities and towns. Nearly 500 people marched in the procession to the church and thousands lined the streets along the route. Henderson's death was caused by pneumonia.
