- John Henry Rivers was born in 1868 in Ontario.Dr. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1896. He married Charlotte (Lottie) Hill in 1897. In 1902, he moved to Alberta and settled in Raymond to become the first medical doctor in the community. In 1910, he moved to Lethbridge. He was the first warden of the Provincial Jail in served in this capacity from 1911 to 1923. More detailed information can be found in the genealogical file.
