- Photographs of two registered Appaloosa horses owned by W. H. Lumley of Coalhurst that were killed when they came into contact with a power pole guide line. It was believed a vehicle had hit the pole previously loosening the guide wire and causing it to contact the 7,000 volt power line which in turn brought the high voltage in range of the horses. The animals were valued at about $2,500.
