- History Biographical
- Jack Klinger immigrated to Canada from Romania in the early 1920s. In Lethbridge, he started his own business - Klinger's Men's and Boys' Wear - in 1922. The store operated from the Oliver Block, which was purchased by Jack Klinger in 1927. In subsequent years the business focused on wholesale operations. The Klinger family is of Jewish ancestry; Jack Klinger was an active member of the Jewish community in the city. In 1932, Jack Klinger married Pearl Singer.
