History Biographical
William F. Nelson and his family lived in Lethbridge from approximately 1911 - 1919. Nelson was an insurance and loan agent, representing the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company of San Francisco and the Mercantile Fire Insurance Company of Waterloo, among others. W.F. Nelson & Company (loans, insurance and real estate) had offices at 416 - 5th Street South, Lethbridge. The family relocated to Calgary in 1920.
