- Photographs of unidentified participants in the Merry Widow. Sixty-nine students from Catholic Central High School performed the operetta at the Yates Memorial Centre. An updated version of the 1905 play by Hungarian computer Franz Lehar, the school production featured the same audience pleasers of yester-year: waltzes, Parisian cancan and satire of life amid the jet-set of 1870. Maureen Melling produced and directed the play which represented months of work by CCHS teachers, students, parents and others. The play ran for three days.
