The contest was judged by three art teachers: Mrs. Gladys Hart of Coaldale; Dan Maltisz of Wilson Junior High School and Ron Tompkins of Winston Churchill High School and was sponsored by the WCHS students council. Winners were Wally Quan, Grade 1, Central Elementary School; Virginia Matchett, Grade 6, Central; and Joyce Stephure, Grade 4, Agnes Davidson Elementary School, all first prize and Cindy Quan, Grade 6, Central; Greg McCallum, Grade 2, General Stewart Elementary School; and Darrel Strelier, Grade 3, Susie Bawden Elementary School, all second prizes.
