History Biographical

Lethbridge Troyanda Dance Club was founded in 1994 and became a registered organization onn November 30 1995. The club's is a parent-run, not-for-profit society, goal is to educate and increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the Ukrainian culture, traditions, and costumes by providing live Ukrainian dance performances. The Troyanda dancers held rehersals throughout the year and offered regular public performances. Until 2002, the club was based at the Bowman Arts Centre, and later relocated to One Dance Studio facility. The groups included Juniors, Intermediates and Senior/Adults. The major performances of the year are Vesna and Malanka. In 2005, the name of the club was changed to "Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club."
