The AMA reported 783 passenger car plates were sold in the first two days compared to 371 in 1969. Total sales for all types of vehicle plates at the AMA reached 1,047 for the first two days, down 151 from 1969. The motor vehicles branch of the provincial government in Lethbridge reported 828 passenger car plates sold in the first two days compared with 960 in the same period in 1969.
